Filing an appeal, if the tax authorities take ages to proceed with your tax return!

As soon as your tax return is filed electronically and the tax authorities have all information necessary, generally it takes five to eight weeks until you will receive your tax assessment notice. The tax authorities handle all tax returns in chronological order so that especially at the end of May and at the beginning of June the tax authorities could be a bit pressed for time.

Please note that there is no deadline for handling your tax documents. However, the tax authorities are not allowed to take ages to proceed with your tax return. After six months without any feedback - since submitting your tax return - you can file an appeal because of inactivity. Should the tax authorities are still inactive after that, you can also take legal steps

Please get in touch with us. We would be pleased to support you with your tax return and with the communication with the tax authorities.
